1. Backup your original BootAnimation first

I am using x-plore file manager to change boot animation manually but you may use any android file manager with root access.

***You Must be logged in to view Download Links***

Install X-plore file manager > Open menu go to configuration and change root access to superuser + mount writable

root access

Go back

Click on root /

Root access prompted

X-plore root access grant

Grant root access to x-plore file manager.

Now go to /system/media/

there you find bootanimation.zip

This is the original boot animation of your device. Copy it to some other location in order keep backup of your stock boot animation.

Now delete   /system/media/bootanimation.zip

2. Change Marshmallow (android 6) boot animation manually

Depending on your display size download bootanimation-XXXp.zip

Rename it to bootanimation.zip

Copy bootanimation.zip to /system/media/

Now hold down on bootanimation.zip and click on last option permission

Change its permission to 644 (rw-r–r–) ( See below screenshot )

bootanimation permission

3. Change Marshmallow (android 6) boot animation via cwm/twrp/philz recovery

Depending on your display size download recovery flashable bootanimation.zip and copy it to sdcard.

***You Must be logged in to view Download Links***
